The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18. The tournament will be the first World Cup held in the Arab world and the first in a Muslim-majority country.

The tournament will be played across eight venues in seven host cities: Doha (Al Bayt Stadium and Education City Stadium), Al Khor (Khalifa International Stadium), Al Wakrah (Al Wakrah Stadium), Al Rayyan (Ahmed bin Ali Stadium), Lusail (Lusail Iconic Stadium), Doha Port (Doha Port Stadium) and Umm Salal (Umm Salal Stadium).

Group B of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will feature England, USA, Iran and Wales.

The first round of matches in Group B will see England take on USA at the Al Bayt Stadium in Doha on November 21, followed by Iran vs Wales at the Education City Stadium on November 22.

The second round of matches will be played on November 26, with England vs Iran at the Al Bayt Stadium and USA vs Wales at the Education City Stadium.

The third and final round of matches in Group B will be played on November 30, with Wales vs England at the Khalifa International Stadium and USA vs Iran at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

Group B will be based at the Al Bayt Stadium in Doha and the Education City Stadium in Doha.

England

Captain: Harry Kane

FIFA ranking: 4

 England will be looking to make a strong start to their World Cup campaign as they aim to make it to the knockout stages for the first time since 2006.

Gareth Southgate’s side will be led by captain Harry Kane, who will be looking to add to his tally of 32 goals for his country.

England’s squad features a number of experienced players such as goalkeepers Joe Hart and Jack Butland, defenders Kyle Walker and John Stones, midfielders Jordan Henderson and Dele Alli, and forwards Raheem Sterling and Danny Welbeck.

USA

Manager: Gregg Berhalter

Captain: Michael Bradley

FIFA ranking: 22

The USA will be looking to make an impact at the World Cup after missing out on the 2018 tournament.

Gregg Berhalter’s side will be led by captain Michael Bradley, who has over 150 caps for his country.

The USA’s squad features a number of experienced players such as goalkeepers Brad Guzan and Zack Steffen, defenders Geoff Cameron and Matt Miazga, midfielders Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie, and forwards Jozy Altidore and Bobby Wood.

Iran

Captain: Ashkan Dejagah

FIFA ranking: 37

Iran will be looking to make an impact at the World Cup after qualifying for the tournament for the first time since 2006.

Carlos Queiroz’s side will be led by captain Ashkan Dejagah, who has over 100 caps for his country.

Iran’s squad features a number of experienced players such as goalkeepers Alireza Beiranvand and Rahman Ahmadi, defenders Ehsan Hajsafi and Ramin Rezaeian, midfielders Masoud Shojaei and Saeid Ezatolahi, and forwards Sardar Azmoun and Reza Ghoochannejhad.

Wales

Wales will be looking to make an impact at the World Cup after qualifying for the tournament for the first time since 1958.

Ryan Giggs’ side will be led by captain Ashley Williams, who has over 80 caps for his country.

Wales’ squad features a number of experienced players such as goalkeepers Wayne Hennessey and Danny Ward, defenders Neil Taylor and Chris Gunter, midfielders Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey, and forwards Gareth Bale and Sam Vokes.
